Employee Self-Serve (ESS)

View or maintain selected personal information located on the central HR system via the internet. Initial services include the ability to display and maintain bank information, home address and view your employee profile and pay statement.

Supported Browsers to Access ESS:

You must use Internet Explorer 6 or 7, or Firefox 1.5 or 2 or 3 (for Mac users). Please note that Firefox 3 is now supported for the majority of Campus Business Connect Applications such as ESS, My Research on-line, Expense Reimbursements, etc. If you experience any problems with FireFox 3 using these applications, please contact AMS help.

Testing with Firefox 3 is still underway for several specialized applications such as the on-line PM performance reviews and the telephone service order application and are not supported at this time using this browser.

Logon to ESS

February 4, 2010:

Access to all T4 tax documents on ESS has been temporarily disabled to enable uploading of the 2009 T4 documents. Access to 2009 and prior years T4's will be available after February 18, 2010.

March, 2009:

ESS Eligibility applies to Appointed Staff in the following personnel subareas:

Academic
Research Associates
Librarians
President/Vice-President/Vice-Provost
Professionals/Managers (PM)
Confidentials
USW
Library Workers (CUPE 1230) (Effective March 1, 2009)
Child Care Workers (CUPE 2484) (Effective March 1, 2009)
Research Officers (OPSEU 578) (Effective March 1, 2009)

Access to the pay statement is located under the Pay Information Tab in ESS. To view and/or print your pay statement, you should also have your Social Insurance Number available for verification purposes.
